Nikolay Dmitrenko (1984) was born in Kiev in a family of artists. In 2008 he graduated from the National Academy of Art and Architecture. In 2013 he graduated from The State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin in St. Petersburg. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Austria, Italy, Ukraine and China.
The sacrament of the artist is to transform colours and lines into eternal life that excites the heart and soul. In minor details, the artist tries to find common features inherent in all people. Endless love for life and its eternal movement and beauty allows Dmitrenko to create paintings of a metaphorical level. His education enables him to create complex works with deep meanings, the creation of which sometimes takes several years.
In his works, Nikolay strives to capture the transience and versatility of the modern world, the main character of which becomes a resident of the megapolis. The artist seeks not only to document, but to rethink even the most insignificant stories taking place in our modern life. The most important artistic tool of expression for Nikolay is colour. Colour allows him to reflect on the emotionality and dynamics of the modern world and contributes to the integrity of his artworks.
